    Our Engagement Models

Each model sets out who owns priorities, technical decisions, performance feedback, and escalation, so you know how a Microsoft Azure developer fits your team before day one.
    • Staff Augmentation – Add one or more developers to your team for a backlog spike, a skills gap, or a fixed period, typically a few weeks to several months. Your technical lead owns priorities and technical decisions. Performance feedback and escalation go through your Code Creators account lead. Developers can be added or released with the notice period set in your agreement.
    • Dedicated Developers – A developer or full team works on your product full time for several months or longer, such as a migration program or a new Azure-hosted product. Your product owner sets priorities, and a Code Creators lead coordinates delivery and makes day-to-day technical decisions within the architecture you approve. Feedback and escalation run through that lead, and team size is reviewed with you each month.
    • Hourly – Book developer hours for scoped tasks of a few days to a few weeks, such as a pipeline fix, a code review, or a proof of concept. You set up the scope and priorities; the developer makes technical decisions within that scope, and your account lead handles feedback and escalation. Extra hours are added by agreement if the scope grows.

    Our Process

Your technical lead stays in charge of priorities throughout. We handle matching, onboarding support, and regular checks on fit and output.

    1

    Requirements call

On day 1, we walk through your Azure stack, backlog, and sprint rhythm with your technical lead. Deliverable: a role brief covering skills, seniority, hours, and engagement model.

    2

    Shortlist and interviews

Within 3-5 business days, we send matched developer profiles, and you run interviews and make the final choice. Deliverable: a shortlist showing each developer’s Azure project history, certifications, and available start date.

    3

    Onboarding

Within 1-2 weeks of your selection, depending on your access approvals, the developer is set up and working. Access follows least privilege: only the repositories, Azure resources, and subscriptions the assigned work requires, granted with your approval. Deliverable: an onboarding checklist and a first-sprint plan.

    4

    Delivery, review, and close-out

During the engagement, we meet your lead monthly on output and capacity. At close-out, the developer completes documentation and a knowledge transfer session, and your team removes their access. Deliverable: monthly engagement reviews and a close-out handover pack.

    FAQs About Hiring Azure Developers

Freelance marketplaces, recruitment agencies, and Microsoft partners all supply Azure developers, with different levels of accountability. At Code Creators, every developer is our own employee, so one company answers for their work. Separately, Code Creators holds Microsoft Solutions Partner designations in Infrastructure, Data & AI, and Digital & App Innovation (Azure). You also skip running a recruitment process yourself.

Billing follows the engagement model: hourly work is billed on hours used, while staff augmentation and dedicated developers are billed per developer per month. The quote depends on seniority, the Azure skills required, expected hours, and engagement length. A senior engineer working on Azure Kubernetes Service and infrastructure as code is priced higher than a mid-level developer maintaining App Service apps. Rates are agreed in writing before work starts.

Start dates depend on three things: how specialized the skills are, which developers are free when you need them, and how quickly your security team approves access. Common roles usually start sooner than niche ones, such as Azure Kubernetes Service or Data Factory specialists. Each developer on your shortlist comes with an available start date, and the actual date is fixed once access is approved.

Yes. The hourly model suits short, scoped work such as a proof of concept, a pipeline fix, a code review, or a performance investigation. For a project of a few weeks, staff augmentation with an agreed end date works well. We confirm scope, hours, and deliverables up front so the engagement has a clear finish.

A dedicated team makes sense when the work runs for several months, needs more than one skill set, or would pull your own developers off their own roadmap. Examples include a large migration, a new Azure-hosted product, or an integration program spanning many systems. A Code Creators lead coordinates the team and reports to your product owner.

An Azure developer builds applications, APIs, and integrations on services such as App Service, Functions, and Logic Apps. An Azure DevOps engineer builds CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and release processes. An Azure architect designs the overall environment, including networking, identity, and service choices. Many projects start with developers and add the other roles as needs grow.

Yes. Developers join your Microsoft Teams or Slack channels, attend your standups and sprint ceremonies, and take tickets straight from your backlog, so you speak with them every day. A Code Creators account lead stays available for escalations, scheduling, and anything about the engagement itself.

Every developer is a Code Creators employee who has passed our technical interviews and works on live Azure projects. Matching starts from your stack, so a Logic Apps role goes to someone who has shipped Logic Apps work. Microsoft certifications are listed where a developer holds them, and your own interview has the final say. Output is then reviewed with your lead throughout the engagement.

Raise it with your account lead as soon as something isn’t working. We review the issue with you and the developer and agree on specific corrections. If the fit still isn’t right, we propose a replacement, subject to developer availability. The outgoing developer documents work in progress and joins a handover session with the new developer before their access ends.

Overlap hours are agreed before the engagement starts, based on your team’s working day, and cover standups, reviews, and live questions. Work raised outside those hours is picked up at the start of the developer’s next working day. For production issues, an escalation path set during onboarding reaches your account lead, and on-call coverage can be added to the scope if your systems need it.
